     Courtney Keene was born into a loving family with a rich heritage of ministry. Her father Larry "Slug" Snider was a bass singer in a southern gospel group. The joy of her birth was quickly turned to distress as a huge tumor began to form on the side of her face. Over the next 17-years she spent time in and out of the hospital undergoing a dozen surgeries trying to remove the growth. Ultimately, one surgery took a portion of her eye leaving her blind in that eye. 
     Courtney’s faith began to crack after each failed surgery. In a sad twist of fate, tragedy struck again as she unexpectedly lost her dad to cancer just prior to her 18th birthday. Her encourager and her rock were ripped away and her faith was put to the test. Grieving from her loss and discouraged from the life of whispers of “freak and ugly”, hopelessness set in. With no place left to turn she crawled into her Heavenly Father’s lap, broken and seeking the His unconditional love. She learned to view herself not just as the whispers or reflection in the mirror revealed, but rather through this love of God. She began to use her God-gifted voice and anointing to share the true source of her new found self-esteem. The tumor was still present and the surgeries still took place, but after three years of turning her life back towards God, she began to heal on the inside of her insecurities. At the age of 21, God reflected what He did on the inside by forever healing her of the tumor on the outside.
     Courtney’s next dream of finding a Godly man came true when at the age of 32 she married Todd Keene, the President of The Power Team ministry. She serves now as the Director of Crusades for the team and travels the country inspiring others.
     As a dynamic speaker and powerful and anointed singer, Courtney uses her testimony and worship to encourage others with her example of perseverance, heartbreak and eventual breakthrough to help others see their dreams come true!​
